At Hampshire Hospitals Charity, we rely on the support of our amazing volunteers to continue raising funds and making a difference for our local hospitals.

Every year, we aim to raise £1 million to support patients, staff and volunteers. With your help, we’ll get ever closer to reaching that goal.

Volunteers play a vital role in helping to make our events and community activities successful. From representing our charity at a local community event to bucket collections at Christmas, all help from our volunteers is extremely important to our fundraising efforts and we are so grateful for every helping hand.

What does volunteering with us involve?

We have a variety of opportunities for volunteers and our events/ activities to get involved with look different each month!

Volunteering with us is very flexible and non-committal – there is no minimum hour commitment required to onboard as a volunteer. Once you’re part of the team, you’ll be able to opt-in or out of lending a hand as and when fundraising events, activities and opportunities arise!

Here are some examples of what you might get up to as one of our volunteers:

  • Representing Hampshire Hospitals Charity at a local community event such as a fair or market

  • Helping out at our own events

  • Spreading awareness and collecting donations at local supermarket initiatives

  • Taking part in a bucket collection

  • Distributing flyers in our local communities to help us promote upcoming events

  • Spreading the word about the work we do within your local community and online

Express your interest

All of our volunteer enquiries are handled by the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust volunteers team.

Visit the link here to express your interest and select the ‘Charity volunteering’ options. Once the team have received your enquiry, we’ll do some basic checks and invite you for an initial chat.

After you are onboarded, we’ll keep your information on file and reach out to you whenever opportunities arise that you can be involved in.
