We are Hampshire Hospitals Charity, the NHS charity supporting patients, staff and volunteers at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust across Basingstoke, Winchester, Andover and Alton hospitals.
What we do
Hampshire Hospitals Charity plays a key role in enhancing the wellbeing of, and support for, NHS staff, patients and volunteers.
We work together to make sure:
Our patients continue to receive outstanding care and support that they and their families need
Our hospitals are a comfortable and welcoming place for everyone who needs us, including loved ones, staff and patients.
Our staff are supported and enjoy their working environment by providing the little extras that make someone’s day.

How we support
At Hampshire Hospitals Charity, we want to ensure you can say thank you to those who made a difference to you.
Within our charity are funds that enable you to donate or support specific wards or departments within Hampshire Hospitals. One of these funds is the Winchester Medical Foundation, which was amalgamated into the main charity in 2011.

Making a difference
Patient care is our top priority. Our goal is to ensure everyone who steps foot into our hospitals receives the very best care. Our mission is to provide patients with the little extras that make hospital visits more comfortable and welcoming.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all in different ways, especially our incredible NHS staff. We aim to raise funds to improve, support and care for our staff and their wellbeing.
Your donations really make a difference – We need to raise at least £1million a year to ensure that we can provide increased care and support to staff and patients above and beyond what the NHS can deliver, including better outdoor and rest spaces, equipment, and enhancing the environment and experience for everyone in our hospitals.

How we are governed
We aim to be an open, transparent and responsible charity. Hampshire Hospitals Charity is a registered charity (No. 1060133), and is the registered charity for Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT), which runs Andover War Memorial Hospital, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, and Royal Hampshire County Hospital, in Winchester.
An exceptional group of experts guide us in driving our mission and our vision to support our local NHS heroes and the patients they care for. Members of our trustees’ board bring a rich mix of experience to ensure our patients, their loved ones, and our staff are at the heart of everything we do.
