Celebrate the NHS’s 75th birthday by joining the #NHS1000miles challenge!
This year marks the NHS’s 75th birthday, and people up and down the country are being invited to mark the occasion by joining the NHS1000miles challenge! You can support Hampshire Hospitals through commiting to walking, running, cycling or swimming the distance of 1000 miles in 2023 whilst raising funds for a ward or department that you’d like to give back to.
How do I get sponsored?
To join in and get sponsored for the challenge, all you need to do is track your daily miles, set up your Justgiving page, link it to Hampshire Hospitals Charity and start getting those miles in! To make sure your funds go to the ward or department you want to support, please ensure their sub fund number is noted in your page description. If you do not know this, please email us at hh.charity@hhft.nhs.uk and we will let you know the number you need.
How do I track my miles?
You can join the national NHS1000 Strava group by clicking the link here or track your miles using an alternative tracker.
Are there others taking part?
By taking part, you’d become a Hampshire Hospitals Charity Challenger, meaning you can join our community of fundraisers over on Facebook, where you can share your progress, ask questions and see how other people are getting on with their fundraising adventure.
As part of the national challenge, participants are invited to share their progress on Twitter using the hashtag #NHS1000miles every Sunday at 7:30pm.
To get started, email hh.charity@hhft.nhs.uk and we’ll help you take the first step!
